ACNO, Nursing Education and Professional Development

Kirby Bates Associates is pleased to partner with the Cleveland Clinic Health System, a nonprofit multispecialty academic medical center that integrates clinical and hospital care with research and education, in their search for an Associate Chief Nursing Officer Nursing Education and Professional Development (ACNO, Nursing Education and Professional Development).  The ACNO, Nursing Education and Professional Development will report to Meredith Foxx, MSN, MBA, APRN, Executive Chief Nursing Officer of the Stanley Shalom Zielong Institute for Nursing Excellence. Direct reports to the position include five Directors.

U.S. News & World Report consistently names Cleveland Clinic as one of the nation’s best hospitals in its annual “America’s Best Hospitals” survey. Cleveland Clinic employs more than 17,000 registered nurses and advanced practice providers. Cleveland Clinic is a 6,026-bed health system that includes 18 hospitals and more than 220 outpatient facilities.

The ACNO, Nursing Education and Professional Development will assume responsibility for Nursing Education, Professional Development, Academic Partnerships, and the Nurse Residency program. The ACNO’s scope will also include building a nursing pipeline, ongoing education and skill development, the Simulation Center, professional ladder, AHA competencies, academic partnerships, and student management across the global Cleveland Clinic enterprise.

  • Master of Science in Nursing required, Doctorate preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop a strong residency program and build nursing pipeline programs.
  • The ability to balance new nursing education with ongoing development needs.
  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines.
  • Clinical nursing expertise.
  • Knowledge of Magnet principles.
