Behavioral Health Clinical Nurse Specialist/Educator

Temple Health consists of Temple University Hospital (TUH), Fox Chase Cancer Center, TUH- Jeanes Hospital, TUH-Episcopal Campus, TUH-Northeastern Campus, Temple Physicians, Inc., and Temple Transport Team.  Temple Health is proudly affiliated with the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. Temple University Hospital – Episcopal Campus, located two miles from the main campus, serves as the main location for behavioral health services with 74 inpatient psych beds, 44 adult extended psych beds, a full service outpatient program, an Emergency Department and Minor Care Center, primary care and specialty physician offices.  It serves as one of only four emergency Crisis Response Centers in Philadelphia From Episcopal’s warm, friendly atmosphere to the resources of an academic health system, the teams at Episcopal come together to serve their patients and to deliver highly personalized care.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist/Educator, in conjunction with the Director of Nursing, assesses and evaluates the clinical practices of the nursing staff and works collaboratively with the Nurse Manager and Assistant Nurse Manager in the assessment and identification of educational needs and develops programs to address identified needs. Demonstrates a high degree of professional excellence through the application of evidenced based practice. Acts a role model in the attainment of clinical competence.

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, one of which must be in Nursing. Relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of advanced degree.
  • Licensed or eligible for RN licensure in PA
  • Three years’ experience in progressive clinical roles.
  • Inpatient and/or emergency Psychiatric Nursing experience required.
  • Ability to develop curriculum and evaluate learning.
  • Experience as a CNS and or Educator.
