Chief Nurse Executive, Central Maine Healthcare

Central Maine Healthcare has exclusively retained Kirby Bates Associates to lead a national search for their Chief Nurse Executive. Central Maine Healthcare (CMH) is an integrated healthcare delivery system consisting of three hospitals: Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC), Bridgton Hospital, and Rumford Hospital.  CMH also supports Central Maine Medical Group, a primary and specialty care practice.  Other system services include CMMC’s “Centers of Excellence” including the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, the Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Neonatal Intermediate Care Unit, and a Trauma Services Program. CMMC is also the southern Maine base for LifeFlight of Maine, the state’s only medical helicopter service.

The Chief Nurse Executive (CNE), as a member of the senior leadership team, will be responsible for Nursing/Patient Care Services. The incumbent will report to the Senior Vice President, Chief Medical Officer/Chief Operations Officer.  The Vice President of Nursing and Patient Services at both Bridgton and Rumford will have a dotted line to the CNE role.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, one of which must be in Nursing.
• Strong foundation in quality and patient safety.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in senior leadership.
• Ability to work in a matrix model.
