Kirby Bates Associates is honored to partner with Nantucket Cottage Hospital, a non-profit community hospital that serves the residents and visitors of Nantucket island, on the recruitment of a Clinical Nursing Supervisor.

THE ORGANIZATION

Nantucket Cottage Hospital offers the best of both worlds – a quaint rural community hospital affiliated with the world-renowned Mass General Brigham, formerly known as Partners HealthCare. There are 12,000 full-time residents and the community increases to 75,000+ during the warmer seasons. The new hospital, which opened in February 2019, offers a broad range of health and wellness services including primary and specialty outpatient care, inpatient and observation beds, state of the art perioperative and C-Section facilities, the latest diagnostic testing and unique capabilities including telemedicine equipped patient rooms.

THE POSITION
The Clinical Nursing Supervisor (Supervisor) will demonstrate strong leadership and guidance while promoting competence and excellence in the care of patients and families across the continuum. The Supervisor will assume hospital wide oversight and serve as the onsite administrative resource. Responsibilities include clinical and operational leadership of patient care units during evenings, nights, and weekends in the absence of Nurse Managers and Directors. Areas of responsibility include triage, resource allocation, patient care management, administration, case management, and professional development. The Supervisor will report directly to the CNO.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; licensed/eligible for Massachusetts Registered Nurse license.
  • A minimum of three years clinical nursing experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability; previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Critical Care and/or Emergency Services experience preferred.
