Interim Director of Nursing, Maternal Child Health

Kirby Bates Associates, a premier national healthcare leadership firm, is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Nursing, Maternal Child Health for an organization in New York City.

The Interim Director of Nursing, Maternal Child Health serves as a senior nurse executive responsible for the strategic, clinical, operational, and regulatory oversight of high-acuity maternal and pediatric services within a quaternary care system, in close alignment and collaboration with the physician leadership team.

This role ensures the delivery of safe, evidence-based and highly specialized care across Antepartum, Labor & Delivery, NICU, and Postpartum units, while driving measurable improvements in quality outcomes, workforce engagement, operational performance, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York (required).
  • BSN required and master’s degree in nursing or related field required
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
  • Leadership experience in MCH required
  • Strong working knowledge of IDPH regulations, Joint Commission standards, and perinatal safety best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through transition, manage change, and stabilize department operations quickly.

Our leaders receive an attractive compensation package including housing, transportation, and regular travel home.

The pay rate for this position is $850.00 to $900.00 per day ($221,000-$234,000). The final pay rate is determined by experience, expertise, and education.
