The Position:

The NM contributes to the organization with the primary responsibility of coordinating and implementing nursing care for the NCH Dialysis Department and Med/Surg Unit and is accountable for patient safety, quality of care and fiscal management of the Department and Unit.

The NM ensures that competent, compassionate, individualized care for patients and families is provided by the staff, including but not limited to registered nurses, medical assistants, licensed practical nurses, dialysis techs, and other allied health staff he/she manages.  The NM collaborates with the Vice President, Patient Care Services / Chief Nursing Officer.


  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • Current/eligible for a valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in clinical nursing.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in dialysis treatment and chronic renal disease patient care.
  • Previous experience as a supervisor, coordinator, or manager, including precepting new nurses, is preferred.
