Senior Director of Behavioral Health

The Senior Director will assume responsibility for a 12 bed Medical Behavior Unit (MBU) as well as Psychiatric services provided throughout CHOP. Total FTEs: approx. 150. Direct reports include a Manager of the MPU, a Manager for the Behavioral Health Analysts, a Psych Tech Supervisor, a Clinical Nurse Specialist and a Manager of the Adolescent Unit (dotted line reporting). The Senior Director reports to the ACNO. The Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at CHOP provides emotional and behavioral health services for infants, children and teens. Their experts conduct thorough evaluations with all patients and use a biopsychosocial model to identify biological, environmental, psychological and academic factors that contribute to a child’s condition.


  • BSN required; MSN preferred.
  • Five years of progressive leadership experience in an AMC or complex healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of Magnet and ability to work in and promote a professional practice environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop an environment that achieves clinical outcomes and excellence in patient experience.
  • Able to partner with physicians and other disciplines and departments in the care of the Behavioral Health patients.
