Kirby Bates Associates has been exclusively retained by Duke Regional Hospital to conduct a search for their next Senior Nursing Director, Perioperative Services. Duke Regional Hospital has 388 inpatient beds and offers a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, and diagnostic services, including orthopedics, weight loss surgery, women’s services, and heart and vascular services in a community hospital setting. Care is also offered at the Duke Rehabilitation Institute, Duke Behavioral Health Center North Durham, the Health Services Center, and the James E. Davis Ambulatory Surgical Center. For 2024-2025, U.S. News & World Report ranked Duke Regional Hospital as #9 in North Carolina and #4 in the Raleigh-Durham area. Duke Regional Hospital is also a Baby-Friendly® hospital.
The Director will provide oversight for 15 ORs, PAT, PACU and Pre-Op, ENDO, non-invasive cardiology, Cath Lab, Radiology Nursing, and SPD. Direct reports include five Nurse Managers and a total of 300 FTES.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are required, one of which must be in Nursing.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in perioperative services leadership in a large, complex healthcare organization.
- Strong knowledge of perioperative processes, standards of care, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation.
