Kirby Bates Associates—one of the nation’s premier healthcare executive search firms—is partnering with a California-based health system to identify an experienced Interim Director of Surgical Services for a high-impact leadership opportunity.
This role oversees the quality and effectiveness of perioperative and surgical services care system-wide, collaborating with leaders to set goals, drive standardization, and reduce clinical variation. The position monitors patient outcomes, ensures regulatory compliance, and leads system-wide compliance initiatives. Additionally, the role identifies opportunities for improvement, implements strategies with local teams, and serves as a subject matter expert by staying current with clinical program innovations.
Requirements:
- BSN required, master’s degree in a health care related field required
- Active California RN license required (non-compact state)
- Progressive leadership experience in Surgical Services
- Experience working in a unionized environment
This opportunity offers an attractive compensation package, including housing, transportation, and regular travel home.
The pay rate for this position is $900 per day ($234,000 annually).
