Kirby Bates Associates, a premier national healthcare leadership search firm, is partnering with a leading health system in Washington State to identify an experienced Interim Labor and Delivery Manager to guide clinical and operational excellence for a high-volume maternity program.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic nursing leader to oversee a robust Labor & Delivery unit supporting approximately 1,300 deliveries per year. The selected leader will provide operational and clinical oversight for a team of 70 FTEs, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strong, visible clinical and operational leadership across the Labor & Delivery unit
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and daily operations for a 70-FTE team
- Drive quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and patient safety initiatives
- Mentor and support frontline staff and emerging leaders during the interim engagement
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or compact license (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- L&D Leadership experience required
Our leaders receive an attractive compensation package including housing, transportation, and regular travel home.
The pay rate for this position is $800.00 to $850.00 per day ($208,000 – $221,000 annually). The final pay rate is determined by experience, expertise, and education.
