Administrative Director, Emergency Services

ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTOR EMERGENCY SERVICES. The Administrative Director, reporting to the system CNE for CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Health (CGSH) and will be responsible for emergency services at three locations. CGSH is seeking a leader to promote the highest quality emergency services for the community and to strengthen relationships with pre-hospital providers to ensure integrated services across the region.  Key constituents for the Administrative Director will be ED Physician Colleagues, Staff; Fire Department personnel, Ambulance Services teams, Private Physician Office staff and Urgent Care Centers staff. Experience as a service line leader with accountability for emergency services. Ability to manage multiple locations including: Christus Good Shepherd’s Longview, Kilgore and North Park Emergency Departments. The combined patient volume for these units is over 100,000 visits annually. The successful candidate will bring contemporary experience in emergency services, demonstrated success in interdisciplinary collaboration and effective management of systems and processes in a high-volume complex health system are required.

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
  • B.S.N required, Master’s degree in Nursing or related field required.
  • Five years nursing management experience in acute care setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective nursing leaders, to mentor and coach others, and to delegate appropriately to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Ability to establish strong collaborative relationships with physician leaders and with leaders of other disciplines. Strong operational leadership ability, fiscal competency, knowledge of resource planning and staffing systems.
