Assistant Vice President, Emergency Services

Atrium Health Central Division is seeking an experienced nurse leader to assume the role of Assistant Vice President, Emergency Services (AVP). The AVP is responsible for the strategic oversight and operational performance for the service line and ensures that optimal, quality patient care is provided using resources in an effective and efficient manner. The AVP reports to the Vice President, Central Division Administration at Atrium Health. The AVP is responsible for CMC Emergency Department, CMC Mercy Emergency Department, and SouthPark Emergency Department. Emergency Department visits total 138K; CMC 84K, CMC Mercy 37K and SouthPark 17K. Each department has a Nurse Manager that reports directly to the AVP. The AVP is the key clinical leader to facilitate care standards for Emergency Services across the Central Division. The AVP is an essential member of the Executive Team and will be a transformational leader within a strong shared governance model. The AVP will participate in strategic planning for the service line with key administrative, nursing, and medical leaders to meet all organizational, service line, and department goals.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Nursing or other health related field accepted.
• Licensed to practice or eligible to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
• Minimum five years leadership experience at a level one trauma center preferred.
• Experience in lean or six sigma performance improvement work required.
• Certification in leadership of specialty required.
