VP Nursing/Chief Nursing Officer

Burke Rehabilitation Hospital is searching for a qualified and dedicated Vice President of Nursing / CNO. The Vice President of Nursing / CNO is responsible for focusing on a high-quality patient experience, managing & mitigating risk, participating in performance initiatives, and conducting nursing research studies in compliance with all regulatory standards and IRB protocols. Departments that report directly to the position include; Nursing Services, Nursing In-Service, EKG, Employee Health, Infection Control, Nursing OPD, Respiratory, Patient Screening and Performance Improvement. The Vice President of Nursing / CNO will collaborate with leaders of all disciplines as well as Nursing colleagues in the Montefiore Health System to evaluate and implement care models and standards that provide cutting edge care for these acute rehabilitation patients. The Vice President of Nursing/ CNO will report to the President & CEO of Burke Rehabilitation Hospital.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing or related health care field (Required)
• Eligibility for a RN license to practice nursing in New York
• Ten (10) years of Rehabilitation experience in an acute rehabilitation hospital (Required)
• Union experience highly preferred.
• Five (5) years of progressive management experience (Required)

The Location

Nestled in a tranquil setting of rolling lawns and leafy trees, the Burke campus is largely unchanged from its beginnings.  Its 12 neoclassical buildings are linked by a series of graceful colonnades.  The campus was designed by McKim, Mead and White, the renowned architectural firm that also designed Manhattan’s Washington Square Arch and the New York Herald building, as well as the Rosecliff Mansion in Newport, Rhode Island.
