Ohio State Wexner Medical Center is seeking an experienced, strategic and operationally-focused nursing executive for the role of Chief Nurse Executive/Assistant Dean for the Ohio State College of Nursing. The Chief Nurse Executive (CNE) will assume responsibility for managing and leading strategic aspects of nursing and patient services delivered by Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. The CNE will be an integral member of the senior executive leadership team and will be charged with advancing strategic initiatives, developing an integrated nursing leadership structure, promoting interprofessional collaboration, creating common operational systems for workforce planning, ensuring excellence in nursing practice and maintaining and advancing Magnet designation. The CNE will report to David McQuaid, RPh, MBA, FACHE, who serves as Chief Executive Officer of The Ohio State University Health System and Chief Operating Officer of Ohio State Wexner Medical Center.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s and Master’s degree (one of which must be in nursing) and doctoral preparation (PhD or DNP) are required.
Prior experience as a Chief Nursing Officer or Chief Nurse Executive for an academic medical center or highly complex healthcare organization or system required.
Magnet experience and ability to establish one care standard and ensure excellence in nursing across a system.
