Chief Nursing Officer

The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) will join the RWJBH leadership team responsible for the delivery of clinical services (nursing, nutrition and social work) to both adults and children at RCINJ. The CNO will also play a leading role in creating an integrated model of practice and care delivery for oncology services across the system. RWJBH is seeking a contemporary nurse leader experienced in the multidisciplinary care of cancer patients in the ambulatory setting. The RWJBH oncology service line is growing and the incumbent will support the strategic goals for cancer services at RCINJ and RWJBH. A new ambulatory facility is in the planning stages at RCINJ and two additional ambulatory oncology centers are planned for the Barnabas and Monmouth locations. The new CNO will focus on advancing the practice of nursing through research and education, developing and directing clinical programs, ensuring quality of care and service, supporting professional development and meeting the strategic, fiscal and human resource goals of the health system.

Qualifications:

  • Masters and Bachelors degree, one of which must be in Nursing; Doctorate Degree and AOCN certification are preferred.
  • Ten (10) years of progressive experience and oncology experience in an AMC or complex healthcare environment.
  • Experience in an NCI-designated or comprehensive cancer center preferred.
  • Previous labor relations experience preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge in supporting clinical research.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop an environment that achieves clinical outcomes and excellence in patient experience.
  • Able to partner with physicians and other disciplines to promote leading-edge research and to advance clinical science.
