Director of Case Management

The Director of Case Management (Director) will serve as a change agent and use evidence-based approaches to advance the care management model at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. The Director will work collaboratively with nursing colleagues within the acute care setting to advance practice, promote nursing science, facilitate care transitions and address the healthcare needs and expectations of the community served. The Director will also work with BJC HealthCare leaders and Washington University School of Medicine partners to ensure an interdisciplinary approach to care coordination and delivery across the continuum.

Education and Experience Criteria

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, one of which must be in Nursing. Eligible for RN license in MO.
  • Contemporary leadership experience or service line leadership experience in an academic medical center or complex setting.
  • Ten years of progressive management and or leadership experience.
  • Ability to promote a professional nursing culture in a Magnet designated AMC.
  • Confident, innovative leader with knowledge of emerging models of care coordination.
  • Experience with underserved populations; able to build an inclusive environment for patients, families and employees.
  • Ability to design and implement an overarching care coordination model.
  • Ability to develop nursing leaders and promote staff engagement.
