The Director of Surgical Services will be responsible for the Operating Room with six ORS (inclusive of a CYSTO room), PAT, PACU, and Central Sterile. The current Director is retiring after ten years of service. BID Needham performs approximately 4,200 – 4,800 cases annually. Surgical specialties include: General Surgery, Joint Replacement, Breast Surgery, General Orthopedics, Genitourinary, Plastics, Lithotripsy and ENT. The Director will report to Kathy Davidson, Chief Nursing Officer. Kathy has been with BID Needham since 2013. The position is supported by two Clinical Resource Nurses (CRN) including one in the OR, and one in the PACU. The BID Needham went live with Meditech 6.1 on October 1st. The Director will lead the department to accommodate continued growth and to take on new services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, one of which must be in Nursing.
- Current or eligible for RN license to practice nursing in MA.
- Five (5) years of progressive management experience in Perioperative Services.
