Executive Director, Cardiovascular Service Line

Kirby Bates Associates is pleased to partner with Beebe Healthcare in the search for an Executive Director, Cardiovascular Service Line (CVSL).

Beebe Healthcare serves the Sussex County community with a medical center located in beautiful, historic Lewes, Delaware, and outpatient locations in Georgetown, Millsboro, Milton, Millville, and Rehoboth Beach. Founded in 1916 by two physician brothers, Drs. James and Richard C. Beebe, the medical center in Lewes is a 210-licensed-bed, not-for-profit seaside community hospital. Beebe’s specialized service lines include cardiac and vascular, surgical services, oncology, women’s health, and orthopaedic services. Beebe offers an array of inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and diagnostic services.

The Executive Director, CVSL, provides administrative direction to the development of the Cardiovascular Service Line and the medical center management team. He/she is responsible for invasive and non-invasive cardiology, cardiac rehab, vascular services, cardiac cath, and the open-heart unit. The Executive Director will be responsible for strategically rebuilding and growing the CVSL with the goal of moving away from the service line model and creating a Cardiovascular Institute.

Opportunity Highlights:  

• Creates strategies for building volumes within the service line.
• Works strategically with the executive team and physicians to design and create a CV Institute.
• Provides leadership to the stroke and congenital heart failure (CHF) programs and assists with preparations for upcoming specialty Joint Commission surveys.
• Drives improvements in the CHF re-admission project.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse strongly preferred with BLS certification.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least five years of progressive strategic management experience in cardiovascular services.
• Strong strategy background, as well as operational experience needed.
