Barnes-Jewish Hospital (BJH), a member of BJC HealthCare, is a nationally renowned, Magnet designated, academic medical center. BJH, with 1,346 licensed beds, and the affiliated teaching hospital of Washington University School of Medicine (WUSM). BJH was the first adult hospital in MO to be designated as a Magnet Hospital and earned its fourth Magnet designation in 2018. For 27 consecutive years, since the inception of the process, BJH has placed on U.S. News & World Report‘s honor roll of America’s Best Hospitals. BJH serves as the area’s regional referral center. The Siteman Cancer Center is a nationally designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the Barnes-Jewish and Washington University Heart & Vascular Center has pioneered many procedures in heart transplantation and vascular surgery.

  Position Details and Responsibilities:  

  • Advance a Professional Practice Environment that supports exemplary patient care and sustainable outcomes with a focus on education and excellence in clinical practice.
  • Build strong partnerships with other disciplines to generate new knowledge.
  • Promote and imbed the principles of a Magnet culture.
  • Implement standardized Evidence Based Practice.
  • Develop innovative care models for the underserved.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, one of which must be in Nursing, and Doctorate degree.
  • Magnet experience.
  • Ability to translate research into evidence-based practice.
