Senior Director Critical Care

 

Reporting to the SVP/CNO, the Senior Director is responsible for oversight of approximately 100 critical care beds. Direct reports to the Senior Director position include: Unit Director for the 20 bed Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), Unit Director for the 20 bed Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), and the Divisional Director for Intermediate Care who oversees two 30 bed Intermediate Care Units (IMUs): T1 and T4. T1 will be converting 15 of its beds to Cardiovascular ICU beds to accommodate the organization’s increase in cardiac volume. This is a great opportunity to build and grow the Critical Care leadership team.

Education and Experience Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, one of which must be in Nursing.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in PA or eligible for licensure.
  • Minimum 5 years progressive leadership experience in Critical Care.
  • Clinical specialty or Administrative certification.
  • A collaborative leader able to establish strong interpersonal relationships with physicians and colleagues.
  • Ability to support a culture of Magnet.
  • Experience with project management preferred with opening the CVICU.
