Senior Director of Emergency Transport

The Senior Director of Emergency Transport is responsible for leading this 24 hour a day transport team consisting of ground and air transportation (helicopter and fixed wing flight).   Total FTEs: 60; 21 RNs along with medics, RTs and communication specialists. There is a minimum of four to five transport teams scheduled daily. The total FTEs are expected to double over the next two years as CHOP makes preparations to handle all transports to and from CHOP. The Transport Leadership Team includes a Program Manager, Critical Care Operations Manager, Medical Director and Clinical Supervisor. CHOP is seeking a master’s prepared nurse with four years’ experience in emergency transport.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree required, one of which must be in Nursing.
  • Four years’ experience in emergency transport with progressive leadership experience.
  • Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and TNCC.
  • Knowledge of Magnet and the ability to work in and promote a professional practice environment.
  • Able to partner with referring facilities and providers.
  • Strong communication skills.
