Phoenix Children’s Hospital is an academic acute care children’s hospital with 457 beds and an affiliation with the University of Arizona College-Phoenix. With the only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center in Arizona, Phoenix Children’s has more than 1200 pediatric specialists and Centers of Excellence in neurology, cardiology, orthopedics, cancer and blood disorders, and neonatal intensive care. The Vice President, Acute Care Services leads nursing in inpatient medical-surgical specialty areas including infectious disease, gastroenterology, endocrinology, hematology, oncology, bone marrow transplant, renal, pediatric epilepsy monitoring, neurology, orthopedics, rehabilitation, and biobehavioral health as well as the wound ostomy nursing program.

  • Integrate nursing practice across the med/surg service line at the newly opening East Valley Hospital in 2022 and West Valley hospital scheduled for 2023.
  • Engage nurse to strengthen the professional practice of nursing and voice on the interprofessional team.


  • Master’s degree in Nursing or a Master’s degree in a related field with a Bachelor’s degree in nursing required. Doctor of Nursing Practice preferred.
  • Seven or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience in acute care services required.
  • Current licensure to practice as an RN required.
  • Certification in Nursing Leadership or related nursing clinical certification area required.
