Inova Health System has exclusively retained Kirby Bates Associates to conduct a search for a Vice President (VP) of Nursing for the Inova Schar Cancer Institute. Located on the campus of the nationally recognized 928-bed Inova Fairfax Medical Center, the Commission on Cancer Accredited Cancer Institute is at the forefront of research, clinical trials, and improved outcomes for cancer patients.

• Provide executive level leadership for nursing/patient care services, establish standards and ensure regulatory compliance, promote quality patient care, retain fiscal responsibility and direct/evaluate nursing resource utilization.

Reporting directly to the System CNE, The VP of Nursing for the Inova Schar Cancer Institute is responsible for leading and managing nursing strategy and operations for the rapidly growing Cancer Institute in collaboration with administrative and physician leadership.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, one of which must be in nursing.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive oncology nursing leadership experience.
• A collaborative, progressive, innovative thinker, and strong team builder.
• Works well within a highly matrixed organization.
