Director, Cancer Services & Oncology Services

Mount Nittany Medical Center, a 260-bed acute care facility,  offers medical, surgical, diagnostic and community services.  The Cancer Program at Mount Nittany Medical Center (MNMC), with an integrated network of physicians, providers, and partners, provides comprehensive cancer care with the most innovative therapies, combined with patient-centered care.  A member of the Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute, a network of medical institutions that serve rural areas in central Pennsylvania, which was established in 2000 by founding members Mount Nittany Medical Center, Lehigh Valley Hospital, The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.  With more than 5,800 new cancer patients are treated through the Institute’s facilities yearly, more than at any other cancer center in PA.  The Institute brings the benefits of nationally recognized cancer-related research and education to the community.

MNMC has recently expanded to include the Lance and Ellen Shaner Cancer Pavilion, bringing comprehensive cancer services under one roof.  Since 1989, Mount Nittany Medical Center’s comprehensive Cancer Program has attained the highest recognition possible: designation as a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program by the ACOS.

The Director, Cancer Center & Oncology Services provides:

  • Leads day-to-day operations including planning, staffing, and resource management of Radiation Onc, Cancer Care Partnerships (CCP), Hematology Oncology practice, Infusion Suite, COC accreditation, registry, navigation, and research,
  • Strategic leadership and direction for the Cancer Center and oncology services and planning for the workforce,
  • Reviews market trends and plans/implements a robust marketing plan,
  • Builds relationships, networks, and collaborates with community resources.
  • Manages the administrative function of the joint venture Cancer Care Partnership (CCP) including manage relationships with payers and partnerships for outsourced services, including reporting and accountability to the CCP board of directors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare related field required, preferably a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or equivalent preparation preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressively responsible in healthcare leadership experience preferred.
  • Oncology experience: clinical licensure preferred.
