SVP Patient Services, Chief Nursing Executive

Temple University Hospital (TUH), a nationally respected academic medical center and the primary clinical training site for the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, seeks a new Senior Vice President Patient Services, Chief Nurse Executive (SVP/CNE). The SVP/CNE will lead patient care services for one of the premier academic health care systems in the United States. The Temple University Hospital system includes Temple University Hospital’s main campus, a level 1 trauma and adult Burn Center; TUH Episcopal Campus, providing behavioral health and emergency services; Jeanes Hospital; and TUH’s Northeastern Campus, which provides outpatient services. As part of TUH’s strategic plan, the SVP/CNE will support the transition of Fox Chase Cancer Center to another local health system.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, one of which must be in Nursing
  • Licensed or eligible for RN licensure in PA
  • Seven years’ experience in a progressive senior leadership role in an academic teaching hospital
  • Prior AMC center experience
  • Multi-site leadership experience preferred
  • Ability to develop an effective leadership infrastructure and promote accountability
  • Ability to promote staff engagement and advance the professional practice culture
  • Ability to navigate a high degree of ambiguity and change to meet emerging healthcare trends
  • Proven ability to demonstrate and foster interprofessional collaboration across all disciplines
  • Ability to work effectively and establish collaborative relations within a union environment
