Associate Chief Nursing Officer, Parent Child Division

Kirby Bates Associates has been exclusively retained by South Shore Health to recruit an Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO), Parent Child Division. Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the ACNO will partner closely with a highly collaborative ACNO team, executive leaders, and frontline clinicians to shape the future of pediatric, neonatology, and maternity care across the system.

South Shore Health is a 396-bed, independent, not-for-profit health system serving the Greater South Shore region. It is the only community hospital in Massachusetts operating a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and one of just two hospitals in the state with a Level II Adult Trauma Center designation. The system delivers comprehensive, high-quality primary, secondary, and tertiary care, along with specialty services, home health, community care, emergency and urgent care, wellness, and preventative services.

This is a unique opportunity for an innovative, forward-thinking nursing leader to guide high-performing teams, advance strategic priorities, and elevate excellence across the maternal-child continuum. The ACNO will champion a culture grounded in quality, safety, patient-centered outcomes, employee engagement, and fiscal stewardship. The ideal candidate will bring deep clinical expertise, strong leadership acumen, and a passion for advancing equity, access, and innovation in care delivery.

South Shore Health is proudly Magnet®-recognized and a Beacon Award–winning organization.
