The Opportunity
Reporting to the CNO, the Administrative Director, Emergency Services, Moore Regional Hospital, is responsible for all activities of the emergency department, including assuring department objectives are established and outcomes demonstrated; evaluating the ED budget; and implementing new services in conjunction with emergency service line leadership. The Administrative Director oversees personnel selection, coaching/mentoring, termination, discipline, and evaluation processes. He/she is responsible for patient care services in the absence of VP, patient care services/CNO; assuring coverage for on-call administrative person 24/7 for clinical areas; and representing nursing/patient care administration at department meetings as delegated.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a visionary who possesses:
- Minimum three years of proven leadership experience and five years emergency experience required.
- A successful track record of leading sustainable change.
- Experience managing a large volume ED and in a community-based setting preferred.
- Knowledge/experience treating pediatric patients and patients requiring behavioral health services.
- Master’s degree in nursing or related field required. If master’s is in a field other than nursing bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
- Certification in leadership or emergency nursing preferred.
- Current North Carolina RN license or RN multistate licensure privilege through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
