Assistant Vice President, Emergency Services and Trauma Services

Kirby Bates Associates has been exclusively retained by Albany Medical Center to conduct a search for an Assistant Vice President, Emergency Services and Trauma Services (AVP).

The Albany Med Health System is comprised of Albany Medical Center, Albany Medical College, Columbia Memorial Health, Glens Falls Hospital, Saratoga Hospital, and the Visiting Nurses of Albany, and is the only regionally governed, not-for-profit health system serving northeastern New York and western New England. The System has 1,520 hospital beds, more than 800 physicians, and 125 outpatient locations serving the three million people in the region.

Albany Medical Center, with 766 beds, combines medicine, research and medical education to offer the widest range of medical and surgical services in the region, and Albany Medical College, trains the next generation of doctors, scientists and other healthcare professionals.  As the busiest Trauma Center in New York State and the only Level One Trauma Center within a 130-mile radius, services include a Comprehensive Stroke Center, STEMI, advanced critical care services, advanced neonatology, and pediatric services, including the region’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Units.

The AVP coordinates, plans, directs, implements, and manages the administrative, financial and operational responsibilities for Emergency Services and Trauma Services. With responsibility for clinical operations, the AVP assures that competent, compassionate patient care is uniformly provided, and that policies, programs, and services are consistent with the hospital’s mission and the department’s vision. As a member of the nursing executive management team, the AVP participates in the efficient and effective management of the department of nursing, and the development of its strategic plan.
