Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a contemporary nursing leader to join the team as the Chief Nursing Officer for Hillcrest Hospital, a 500-bed regional hub and level II trauma center located in suburban Cleveland. Cleveland Clinic has the distinct honor of being recognized as the No.2 hospital in the world by Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals 2021. Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital was one of the seven Cleveland Clinic locations to be named a best hospital in the United States by Newsweek and was ranked by US News and World Report among the five best hospitals in Ohio.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a nurse executive with academic medical center and health system experience to establish the strategic plan and vision for nursing practice to ensure excellence in clinical quality and patient experience. Reporting to the Hospital President and the Executive Chief Nursing Officer to achieve the following mission:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree required, one of which must be in Nursing.
  • Specialty certification in a clinical specialty or related field preferred.
  • Senior leader in a complex health care environment; prior experience in an academic medical center or health system preferred.
  • Collaborative leadership style with demonstrated ability to work effectively with all health care disciplines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage staff, advocate for nursing, and advance a professional practice culture.
  • Ability to achieve national standards for quality and safety and ensure a positive patient and family experience.
  • Experience managing clinical services in a competitive market, enhancing productivity, reducing cost, developing new programs and improving quality.
