Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health (PMLGH) has exclusively retained Kirby Bates Associates to conduct a search for their next Chief Nursing Officer. PMLGH brings together the strengths of a world-renowned, not-for-profit academic medical center and a nationally recognized, not-for-profit community health care system. PMLGH offers a comprehensive network of care, including more than 300 primary-care and specialty physicians; outpatient and Urgent Care services; and four hospitals with a total of 786 licensed beds: Lancaster General Hospital, a level 1 Trauma Center, Women & Babies Hospital, Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital, and Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital.
The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) is responsible for inpatient and ambulatory nursing practice across PMLGH (with the exception of the Behavioral Health Hospital). Reporting directly to the CEO, the incumbent will provide leadership, direction, and oversight for nursing operations and quality across PMLGH in coordination with Penn Medicine Nursing and quality leadership. The CNO will have operational accountability for nursing and patient care services in collaboration with Senior Hospital Operations Executives, the Chief Physician Executive, and other executive leaders to provide high-quality, safe, and efficient, patient-focused care driving a culture of high reliability.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, one of which must be in Nursing.
- Current or eligible for RN licensure in PA.
- 10 years of experience in healthcare.
- 5 years of progressive leadership experience in nursing administration.
- Proven experience improving quality, patient experience, and employee retention.
