The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) will serve as a transformational leader and provide vision and leadership, enhance the shared governance structure, as well as nursing strategic and quality plans to lead nursing services. The CNO is responsible for oversight of nursing practice and ensures the delivery of innovative, evidence-based patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree required, one of which must be in Nursing. Doctorally prepared or desire to enroll in a doctoral program.
  • Licensed or eligible for RN licensure in PA
  • Nurse Executive Board Certified (Preferred)
  • Experience in a union environment.
  • Five years’ experience in progressively responsible nursing leadership roles in an academic teaching hospital.
  • Magnet experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively and establish collaborative relationships within a matrix environment.
