Kirby Bates Associates is pleased to partner with Mass General Brigham (MGB) in their search for a VP Nursing, System Behavioral and Mental Health (SBMH) and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for McLean Hospital (MCL). This senior level executive will oversee nursing policy and practice for SBMH, which encompasses the pertinent clinical services across the MGB system.

Reporting to the Chief, SBMH and the President of MCL, the CNO/VP will serve as the executive responsible for nursing across MGB inpatient, outpatient, partial, and residential programs, and services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors and Master’s degree, one of which should be in Nursing. Doctorate preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience.
  • Experience working within an academic medical center that is part of a large, complex health system.
  • Significant leadership in a complex tertiary or specialty care setting with progressive management responsibilities.  Experience in an academic setting with an active role in the educational and research communities is preferred.
  • Experience with behavioral and mental health care, including a broad range of settings and levels of care is preferred.
  • Experience in a union environment is desirable.
