Director of Nursing – Orange County

The Director of Nursing, City of Hope Orange County, offers an outstanding opportunity for an innovative nursing leader to participate in the development and opening of The Irvine Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, which is under construction and will welcome patients in August 2022, followed by the county’s only specialty cancer hospital slated to open in 2025, providing leading edge cancer care in Orange County (OC). The Director of Nursing, City of Hope Orange County, will support nursing practice across the OC network which includes: The Irvine Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, Newport Beach, which was the first community network site to open in OC, and additional community network sites throughout OC.

The Director of Nursing will assist in creating the foundation for nursing practice excellence by designing programs for quality, Magnet, competency development, regulatory compliance, as well as establishing standards of nursing practice, policies and procedures, and innovative programs to improve care delivery and integration across the Orange County network.  The Director will also develop a float pool to support the OC network sites.

Position Highlights:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s and master’s degree, one of which must be in Nursing.
  • A minimum of 7 years nursing experience and 5 years in nursing leadership.
  • Knowledge of the complexity of oncology patient care.
  • Knowledge of quality, Magnet, and regulatory compliance.
