Interim Chief Nursing Officer

Kirby Bates Associates, is seeking Chief Nursing Officer candidates to serve as strategic leaders in key roles of patient care executive in hospitals throughout the United States for interim engagements. Interim CNOs provide senior level leadership that promotes professional and collaborative environments, establishes the patient care agenda within the hospital leadership team and fosters the development of nurse leaders ultimately resulting in achieving the hospital’s agenda and mission.

Interim CNOs receive attractive compensation along with expenses covered by the hospital for temporary housing, transportation and regular travel home.

Qualifications
  • Recent CNO experience.
  • Successful track record as a CNO in varied hospital settings required.
  • Demonstrated success in promoting current evidence based standards of practice, skill in achieving concurrent cost and quality organizational agendas, and the creation of an engaged and competent workforce.
  • Expert organizational behaviors are expected including collaboration, public speaking, representing the hospital in various forums both internal and external, and fostering a culture of patient safety.
  • Proficiency in clinical and financial analytics along with knowledge of hospital information systems and electronic medical records.
  • Current RN licensure with the ability to apply for reciprocal licensure in multiple states.
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Nursing specialty certification and Magnet hospital experience strongly preferred.
