Kirby Bates Associates has been exclusively retained by Central Maine Healthcare to conduct their search for a President, Bridgton and Rumford Hospitals.
Central Maine Healthcare (CMH) is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people living in central, western, and mid-coast Maine. CMH’s hospital facilities include Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital, and Rumford Hospital. CMH also supports Central Maine Medical Group, a primary and specialty care practice organization. Other system services include the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, a regional trauma program, LifeFlight of Maine’s southern Maine base, the Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center, and other high-quality clinical services.
Bridgton and Rumford are critical access hospitals that offer additional services through their affiliation with Central Main Medical Center. Bridgton Hospital serves 21 communities in western Maine and the Mount Washington Valley of New Hampshire. Rumford Hospital provides River Valley residents with a wide array of services.
The President of Bridgton and Rumford Hospitals serves as the Lakes Region market president for CMH and is responsible for the success of the two hospitals. The President directs all functions of the hospitals and leads regional strategic objectives of the system. The President is involved in service line development across the regions and is involved in physician recruitment strategies. The President maintains credibility with the system leadership while developing strong working relationships with hospital employees, medical staff, advisory board members, and community constituencies.
Opportunity Highlights:
- Lead hospital operations and strategic planning for two critical access hospitals with solid quality indicators and low turnover.
- Serve as a highly visible hospital leader within the communities of Bridgton and Rumford and respond to the communities’ needs.
- Collaborate with CMH system leadership to develop and implement new service line strategies to better serve patients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degree required.
- Five or more years of executive leadership experience in healthcare required.
- Rural or critical access hospital experience preferred.
- Experience working in a matrixed healthcare system environment preferred.
