Regional Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer

Kirby Bates Associates is pleased to partner with Penn State Health (PSH) in the search for a Regional Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).

Join PSH as CNO for Holy Spirit Medical Center (310 beds; non-profit Catholic community hospital) and the new, state-of-the-art Hampden Medical Center (private, 110-bed inpatient facility), and become a member of the team working to achieve the PSH mission to continually improve the health and well-being of the people of Pennsylvania and beyond.

Reporting to the regional president, this contemporary nursing leader will bring multihospital health system experience to establish the strategic plan and vision for nursing practice to ensure excellence in clinical quality and patient experience. PSH earned the highest marks for patient satisfaction of any health system in the U.S. from 2019-2020.

Qualification requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in nursing.
  • Graduate degree in a relevant field of management, nursing, policy, or administration.
  • Current Registered Professional Nurse license, issued by the PA State Board of Nursing.
  • Ten years of executive health care management experience, including nursing and physician relations experience.
  • Experience opening a new facility or developing new workflows and policies/procedures.
  • Representative knowledge, skills, and abilities of nurse administrators per the ANA Scope and Standards.

In addition, leadership experience in a multihospital or integrated delivery system is preferred.
