Senior Director, Perioperative Services

Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health has exclusively retained Kirby Bates Associates to conduct a search for their Senior Director, Perioperative Services. The Senior Director, Perioperative Services is responsible and accountable for all administrative and clinical aspects of Perioperative Services including Surgical Suites, Sterile Processing, Endoscopy, PACU, Pre-Anesthesia Clinic, Surgical Scheduling, and pre- and post-surgery care units across PMLGH.

Opportunity Highlights: 

  • 21 main ORs; 8 Orthopedic ORs, 5 ORs at the Women & Babies Hospital, and 4 ORs at the Ambulatory Surgery Center.
  • Direct reports include 4 Nurse Managers, one for each of the following areas: OR, Orthopedics, Pre/PACU, Sterile Processing, Women & Babies Hospital, ASC, as well as a Business Manager and 3 OR Educators.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare or management related field or equivalent experience.
  • Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare management/business related field.
  • Current licensure or eligible as a Registered Professional Nurse, by the PA State Board of Nursing.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Perioperative administrative/leadership in a large tertiary/complex organization and 5 years of perioperative clinical experience.
