The SVP/System CNE will:

  • Establish and execute new staffing and care models and lead nursing along the full continuum of care.
  • Collaborate with physician leadership to drive standardization and reduce unnecessary clinical variation utilizing evidence-based medicine.
  • Work with Information Technology as well as Digital & Analytics to create a virtual care model and implement supporting technologies to streamline care support processes.
  • Team up with Consumer Experience to create and execute the ideal patient/consumer experience.
  • Elevate the role, practice, and reputation of nursing locally, regionally, and nationally,
  • Establish relationships with nursing colleges and work with them to evolve nursing practice/models,
  • Develop a career track for nurses and nurse practitioners,
  • Provide oversight of regulatory, licensure and accreditation requirements related to all aspects of nursing.
  • Encourage creativity, demonstrate fiscal responsibility, and promote the development of a high-reliability culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, one of which must be in Nursing, DNP or PhD preferred.
  • RN licensure or eligible for licensure in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience, preferably in a complex health system.
  • CNO experience required; experience in an academic medical center strongly preferred.
  • The ability to develop talent and build a strong pipeline of leaders.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodology and systems thinking.
