Vice President/Associate Chief Nursing Officer

City of Hope National Medical Center, a world leader in cancer research, treatment, and prevention, is seeking a Vice President/Associate Chief Nursing Officer to lead the design, development, and implementation of their Orange County campus.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement standardized clinical care including policies and procedures.
  • All nursing care and the professional practice of nursing, including all inpatient and outpatient clinical activities for COH OC.
  • Supports sound fiscal and human resource practices.
  • Provides effective leadership to achieve the organization’s strategic plan.
  • Responsible for quality, safety, innovation, and overall process improvement helping to lead the organization to new and better ways of providing cancer care.
  • Facilitate clinical research.

Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Nursing required. PhD/DNP preferred.
  • Certification in nursing specialty and or leadership.
  • Fifteen years Nursing experience with a minimum of 10 years in nursing leadership.
  • Experience in cancer care, preferably in an NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.
  • Proven track record of strategic programmatic leadership.
  • Ability to engage and influence physicians, staff, and leadership to implement change through effective communication and data driven decision making.
  • Experience in the design, development, and implementation of a new campus/cancer program.
